| Improving Patient Care with Health Information Technology
(Please note: The content of these video modules is identical to that of the Improving Patient Care with Health Information Technology live conference held June 15 – 16, 2007 at the Waterfront Place Hotel in Morgantown, WV. The AMA states that physicians cannot claim credit for attending the same course twice. This course and the live conference would be considered the same course.)
Course Description and Who Will Benefit
These video modules will provide practical information for physicians, nurse practitioners, nurse managers, office managers, and medical group managers to encourage the adoption and implementation of health information technology.
Educational Objectives
After viewing all of the video modules, providers should be able to:
- recognize the challenges of selecting health information technology for their practices
- implement health information technology into their practices
- recognize how the implementation of health information technology changes the practice of medicine
- utilize health information technology as a tool to improve health outcomes

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the WVU School of Medicine and the West Virginia Medical Foundation.The WVU School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The WVU Office of CME designates this educational activity for a maximum of 7 AMA PRA Category 1 credits. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
